IYSA Rules
Understand the Idaho Youth Soccer Association’s rules regarding the transfer and release of players.*
When you register with a club, you are obligating yourself to play for the club for the seasonal year, Aug 1 to July 31.
Your club is not obligated to grant you a transfer or release.
IYSA Transfers: A club may elect to transfer you to another club. A transferred players cannot participate in the National Championship Series, i.e. State Cup, in the same seasonal year.
IYSA Releases: A club may release you. A released player can play with any other club without restrictions.
Releasing or transferring you under IYSA rules does NOT release you from your contractual and financial obligations to your club.
The IYSA will not roster you with another club unless your club has submitted a request for transfer or release.
Any pre-commitment for the following seasonal year is not valid until the first Monday after the IYSA designated tryout week.
Attempting to recruit a player to leave with you is a violation of IYSA rules and subjects you to sanctions and financial penalties.
Indie Chicas Policy
Understand the Indie Chicas policies regarding the transfer and release of players.
You have a contractual obligation to play with the Indie Chicas for the seasonal year, Aug 1 to July 31. Our offer to your daughter to play for the Indie Chicas was the result of a competitive process and came at the expense of accepting alternative players who are now unavailable for recruitment, and the Indie Chicas have detrimentally relied on your commitment to play for the seasonal year.
You must pay in full all of your financial obligations (including annual fees and additional invoices) for the seasonal year before the Indie Chicas will consider your request for transfer or release.
Attempting to recruit a player to leave with you is a violation of your contractual obligations to the Indie Chicas, and you have full responsibility for all resulting financial damages suffered by the Indie Chicas, including attorney’s fees.
Request for Transfer
The Indie Chicas will consider the following reasons for granting a transfer request.
The player has an exceptional opportunity that the Indie Chicas cannot accommodate or match.
The player has suffered repeated and reported incidents of harassment from other members of the club or staff.
Health issues that make it difficult or impossible to play for the Indie Chicas.
If dissatisfied with services rendered by the Indie Chicas, consistent written reports are made with a club director throughout the season and attempts for resolution have been made in writing.
Request for Release
The Indie Chicas will consider the following reasons for granting a release request.
Moving more than 50 miles away from the club.
Tryout week commitment change. You must provide us with the dated receipt of your target club commitment.
Financial hardship. Alternatively, you can submit a request for financial assistance here.
If dissatisfied with services rendered by the Indie Chicas, consistent written reports are made with a club director throughout the season and attempts for resolution have been made in writing.
An exceptional need.
Submit Your Request
Submit your request by filling out this form. We will verify your financial status with the club and notify you if you have any remaining financial balance for the seasonal year. After you pay all outstanding amounts, we will initiate consideration of your request for transfer or release. The Indie Chicas reserves the right to refuse any request for transfer or release for any reason.
